Bomb found in Nepali Congress candidate's premises

KATHMANDU: A socket bomb was found planted in front of Nepali Congress's ward chairman candidate's house in Abukhaireni Rural Municipality-3 in Tanahun district.

After seeing the explosive under a park car in Dipak Shrestha's house premises in Milanchok, police were informed.

Police suspected that the bomb might have been planted by the cadres of Nitra Bikram Chand-led CPN-Maoist, who have been protesting the local level elections.

A Nepal Army squad has been deployed to diffuse the explosive.

Meanwhile, two persons were reportedly injured in a clash between Nepali Congress and CPN-UML cadres during a election campaign in Bhimad of district yesterday night.
