RAJBIRAJ: A child died after falling off a moving tractor here in Bishnupur Rural Municipality-5 in Saptari district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Ram, a six-year-old son of local resident Ramesh Ram.

The boy died after he fell down from the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 3467) en route from Rajbiraj to Sakhada, in Boriya area yesterday, according to the District Police Office, Saptari.

The body of the deceased has been taken to the Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital for the postmortem.

Meanwhile, the search is on for the tractor driver who fled the scene after the incident, the Rajbiraj-based Ward Police Office stated.
