RAJBIRAJ: A boy drowned at a local rivulet in Kanchanroop Municipality-8 in Saptari district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Sagar Magar (18) of Kanchanroop Municipality-11, according to the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur.

The incident took place while swimming in the rivulet, said Sub Inspector Tej Bahadur Basnet.

He died while undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
