Boy hurt in blast at NA battalion
Pyuthan, March 28:
A 10-year-old schoolboy, Arjun Sunuwar, was injured when a landmine planted on the premises of the Khalanga-based Cha-ndiprasad Battalion of the Nepali Army (NA) went off at around 1:15 pm today.
He was rushed to the Pyuthan Hospital at Bijuwar for treatment. Sunar sustained serious injuries in his back, doctors said. Sunuwar was later taken to the Kohalpur Medical College for further treatment. The landmine, pla-nted for security reasons during the 10-year insurgency, might have exploded when the boy went inside the army barracks to play, the Battalion said.
