DAMAK: A six-year-old boy died after his head banged on a pillar at his home in Gauradaha Municipality-1 of Jhapa district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Ayush Dahal, son of local resident Dilli Dahal.

Dahal had sustained critical injuries on his head after banging his head on a pillar accidentally, while he was playing at home at around 6 pm yesterday, according to the Gauradaha-based  Area Police Office.

He breathed his last on the way to a health facility in Damak for treatment.

Meanwhile, police are investigating into the case.
