Boyfriend and drug seller arrested over death of teenage girl
KHOTANG: Police arrested a boy and a drug seller on charge of murder after relatives of a teenage girl, who died recently, filed a case against him, in Khotang district.
Sunita Rai (15) from Buipa-4 of Khotang district had died on Friday, reportedly due to unsafe abortion.
It was later reported that she had an affair with Dipendra Rai (19) of Mangaltar-9 of the district.
After being pregnant, Sunita had aborted her unwanted foetus by taking a birth control pill, bought from a local drug store of Gaindra Kumar Rai in Halesi.
According to District Police Office, both the drug seller and her lover were arrested after her death, to investigate into the case.

DSP Bidyananda Majhi further said the girl had died of excessive bleeding, according to the medical report.
Earlier, on August 17, Sunita was admitted to District Hospital of Khotang after the abortion. She was later referred to Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for treatment.
However, she breathed her last at a hotel of Diktel.
