British minister meets prime minister

KATHMANDU: British Minister of State for International Development Desmond Swayne met Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on Friday and discussed issues of mutual cooperation.

According to a press release issued by Prime Minister’s Press Coordinator Prakash Adhikari, the PM informed Swayne about the progress on the constitution-making process.

The PM also told him that he had sent formal invites to the disgruntled parties urging them to resolve the issues through dialogue. The British minister told the PM that he was confident that a new constitution would be promulgated under his leadership, according to the release.

The minister told the PM that his country would continue supporting Nepal’s efforts to institutionalise democracy.
