Budget distributed randomly in Karnali Province

Surkhet, September 24

Karnali Province, which always grumbled about insufficient budget, was found acting unwisely when it came to financial resources distribution. The province is spending millions in the name of martyrs’ foundations.

According to sources, the provincial government here has allocated around Rs 40 million for 15 martyrs’ foundations in the province. The allocated amount will be distributed through Industry, Tourism and Forest and Environment Ministry.

While, six million rupees has been allocated for a Martyr’s Memorial Foundation in Khandachakra, Kalikot; four million rupees each has been earmarked for Manamohan-Puspalal Memorial Foundation in Humla  and Madan-Ashrit Foundation in Dolpa. Others in Jajarkot, Jumla, Rukum, Dailekh, Surkhet, and Salyan have also seen funds ranging from one to three million rupees allocated.
