Bus accident in Pokhara leaves 47 injured

POKHARA: Forty-seven persons have been injured in a bus accident that occurred at Bhanjyang of Sundari Danda in Pokhara Metropolitan City-31.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ga 1 Kha 4771) en route to Pokhara from Begnas skidded off the road at a turning and fell some 30 metres below.

Among the injured, 23 persons have been reported moderately injured while 24 have sustained minor injuries, informed Spokesperson at Kaski District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Raj Kumar KC.

The injured are receiving treatment at various health facilities in Pokhara, said police.

Driver of the vehicle has been remanded in custody and further investigation into the case is underway, KC added.
