MORANG: A pedestrian died after being hit by a bus at Sundardulari-10 along the East-West Highway in Morang district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Umesh Chaudhary (50) of the same locality.

Critically injured in the incident, Chaudhary breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, said Inspector Meghraj Thapa of the Area Police Office, Belbari.

Police have impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.
