The proposed Phidim bus park that was to be set up in the premises of Phidim lower secondary school, has been left incomplete. Due to delay in construction, the intended area of bus-park has been converted into a slaughterhouse. Although the area was occupied in the name of building a bus park, lack of initiation in this regard led to the slaughterhouse taking its place. Five months ago, local people had proposed building a bus park in the premises of the school. The idea was to have a multi-purpose bus park. Later, with the active participation of chairman of Phidim Bus Park Committee, Onahang Nemwang, the land was demarcated. The committee constituted for construction of the bus park, DDC Panchthar, and Phidim-Taplejung road project also made an agreement according to which the DDC would provide fuel to bulldozers during the construction.
