Janakpur, August 16:

Following a dispute regarding bus fare, transport workers halted plying passenger buses to different destinations from Jana-kpur, for indefinite period, from today. According to a statement issued jointly by the Janakpur Zonal Bus Entrepreneur Union chairman, Shyam Sundar Chaudhari and chairman of the Free Transport Workers’ Union, Umesh Prasad Mishra, they were compelled to go on strike after a bus conductor, Rohit Yadav, was arrested. Locals had beaten up Yadav some days ago. Locals here were halting traffic on Dhanushadham-Janakpur route saying the vehicles were collecting more fare.
