NAWALPARASI: Three buses crashed into each other at Kawasoti Jungle of Nawalparasi along the East-West Mahendra Highway, leaving 16 persons injured.

The incident occurred when the bus (Na 2 Kha 7908) of Aangan Travels en route to  Danda from Narayangarh lost control and hit the buses (Na 5 Kha 5006 and Na 1 Pa 4800) belonging to the Orchid College, the Area Police Office, Kawasoti said.

According to Bindu Bhartaula, an injured passenger, the accident occurred soon after the driver gave the responsibility of the steering to the conductor.

Among the injured, four are said to be in critical condition and have been taken to Bharatpur for treatment and others are receiving treatment at the Nawalpur Hospital, Kawasoti, the District Traffic Police Office, Kawasoti informed.
