BAJURA: Voters have participated in the by-elections today waiting their turn to vote at the polling centres in Triveni Municipality of Bajura district.

The voting procedure that began at 7:00 in the morning is going on smoothly, informed Ganga Prasad Neupane, Chief District Officer.

The election is underway in Triveni Municipality-1 to elect the ward chairperson. 1,039 voters are expected to participate in the election, shared Bishal Pudasaini, officer at the Election Office, Bajura. Three candidates are vying for the post.

Up until 2:00 pm, 638 voters had cast their votes. With the onset of the by-elections, security has been beefed up in the ward and at polling booths.
