CA members vow to make Surkhet HQ

Surkhet, June 24:

Constituent Assembly (CA) members from Surkhet today vowed to work towards making Surkhet the headquarters of one of the federal states to be formed in the future.

CA members Yam Lal Kandel, Mangal BK, Nara Bahadur Bista and Kamala Sharma made such commitment at a programme hosted by Good Governance Club, Surkhet, and Civil Society Alliance here today.

The participants in the programme suggested CA members to take initiative to make Surkhet the headquarters of one of the federal states in future.

They also advised CA members to establish a mid western university at Surkhet, to resume Chaukune cement mine, to improve and expand services at regional hospital, to build Telpani-Bhurigaun, Badichaur-Benighat roads and to alleviate poverty of the marginalized groups.

The participants included central member of Rastriya Janamorcha Ratna Bikram Pyasi, former DDC chairman Bal Krishna BC, Samar Malla, Ain Bahadur Chand, secretary at the Surkhet chamber of commerce and industries Purna Chandra Sapkota including others.
