Call to curb crimes in Tarai

Rajbiraj, November 13:

Participants today emphasised on discouraging the growing criminal activities simmering in the Tarai region in the name of Madheshi freedom.

In an interaction program held by Human Right and Community Development Centre (HUCODEC), Saptari, Dinesh Kumar Yadav, president of HUCODEC said that all should try to stop the ongoing cases of murder, violence, rape, abduction and ransom in Tarai.

Muraliprasad Yadav, former president of FNJ’s Saptari chapter, said that human right activists and journalists should act against such activities. Chairman of Bar Association Unit at Rajbiraj, Dinesh Prasad Yadav, said that the activities aimed to bring division on the name of cast, creed, religion, sex and community should be stopped. Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, president of Madhesi Law entrepreneurs’ society, advocate Ramesh Bahadur Thapa and Sujitkumar Pokhral also focused on discouraging the growing criminal activities in Tarai.

Meanwhile, with the objective of discouraging criminal activities in Tarai, a working committee has also been established.
