KANCHANPUR: Eight Nepalis heading home from Banbasa Bazaar across the border in India were robbed by cart pullers on Monday.

According to DSP Lal Bahadur Budayer of the Gaddachowki Area Police Office, the Indian cart pullers had assured the Nepali nationals of transportation from Banbasa of India to Mahendranagar in Nepal, but robbed them midway after crossing the Mahakali Bridge.

The high officials of both the countries have held repeated meetings on ending such incidents but have failed to control the crime.
