CBS to conduct national economic survey from April 14

KATHMANDU: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) is set to conduct the national economy survey from April 14 this year. The survey aims to collect economic data required to prepare development plans and policies at the centre, provincial and local levels.

The CBS will also establish its branch offices in all 77 districts for the same purpose. Under this study, a seven-day training session has been organised for chief trainers in the Capital today, said the CBS, adding that the attendants would be instructed on the technical and administrative aspects of the survey.

Details of employment status of a person, his/her property or investment, and debt would be collected for the survey, said CBS Director General Suman Raj Aryal. The respondents can fill out a form manually or online, he said.
