Kathmandu, March 29:

The Corruption Control Royal Commission (CCRC) will take action against 18 persons who have failed to turn up at the commission despite summon orders. “The CCRC will take action as per the law,” said the CCRC spokesperson Prem Raj Karki. These persons have failed to present themselves at the commission within 24 hours of receiving the notice which expired yesterday. Asked whether they would be arrested, Karki said, “You can easily understand what legal procedures mean.” These persons are accused of receiving ‘Dashain expenditure’ from the ministers of the Sher Bahadur Deuba cabinet.
