CDO warns against irregularities

BIRGUNJ: Parsa Chief District Officer Keshav Prasad Ghimire has warned of stringent action against those involved in irregularities in the Intensive Literacy Campaign in the district.

Speaking at an interaction organised by District Education Office, Ghimire said that his office would take stern action against foul play.

Monitoring was initiated with the piling of complaints from various sectors. “If the officials mobilised for the task do not work honestly, action will be taken against them as well. This was the last phase of the literacy campaign under the government’s investment,” he said.

Ghimire, at the same time, urged all individuals and organisations to do their bit to accomplish the task.

Informal Education Centre Deputy Director Badri Poudel said that the literacy campaigns this year were running in a better way compared to last year. However, still more reforms were required to ensure success in the days ahead.

He appealed to the concerned body to conduct classes in an effective way. He also warned of action if any organisation or individual was found guilty of misusing state coffers.
