KATHMANDU: Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Ayodhee Prasad Yadav on Sunday called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to brief the latter about the preparations made for the upcoming May 14 local-level elections.

During the meeting at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, the CEC apprised the Prime Minister that election officers have already reached at their assigned stations along with all materials required for voting.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister reiterated the government commitment to playing any sort of role to hold the elections in a free, impartial and peaceful atmosphere, according to CEC Dr Yadav.
