Chance call leads visually impaired couple to wedlock

PATHARI: Do you believe in coincidence?

Well, it was but a chance call that led Hom Bahadur Bayalkoti (31) of Urlabari-1 in Morang and Samjhana Limbu (24) of Naya Bazaar in Ilam to tie the nuptial knot.

"It is certainly a coincidence that bound us together," said Bayalkoti.

"One day when my mobile rang, I hastily picked it up; but it disconnected right away. I dialed the same number shortly, but I heard the sweetest voice in my second attempt," Bayalkoti said.

He said he could not help himself, but make 'missed calls' repeatedly when he heard what he had been waiting for.

The following days were sunnier for them. They could not stop each other through endless conversations.

“I heard him say those beautiful three words and I admitted that I was visually impaired," Limbu said, "But to our surprise, we both shared a lot of common feelings as he too was like me.”

Their relationship advanced as they spent hours walking, eating, talking and sharing together.

As the relationship developed Limbu became emotional, yet was quite happy when Bayalkoti proposed her.

"We first met in Birtamod and we both knew it meant everything to us," Bayalkoti said.

"Samjhana and I are happily married," said Bayalkoti with smiling eyes.
