Kathmandu, June 21 :

Keeping in view the overflow of people seeking character certificates, the character verification section of the Police Headquarters will open from 7 am effective tomorrow.

“The character verification section will open at 7 am from tomorrow as the number of people seeking character verification certificates has gone up in recent days,” a statement issued by the Police Headquarters at Naxal said.

It said police personnel are having a tough time trying to cater to the number of people within normal working hours.

The number of people seeking such certificates has gone up after the Gulf countries made the certificate mandatory.

The police headquarters, according to IGP Om Bikram Rana, will provide the certificates within three days if the applicant is a local of the Valley, within seven days if the applicant’s permanent address is of the district headquarters outside the Valley and within 10 days if the applicant’s address is far from the district headquarters.
