KATHMANDU: A five-year-old child died after being hit by a jeep in Pathari Sanishchare Bazaar of Morang district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Pradik Magar, son of Man Bahadur Magar of Myanglung-9, Terhathum.

The jeep (Ba 13 Cha 8353) heading towards north from the south had hit the child along an inner road in the area.

The incident took place at around 9:45 am today.

The child had died on the spot.

The Pathari Area Police Office has impounded the vehicle and has arrested its driver.
