BANEPA: A minor died on the spot in a road accident at Tamaghat in Kavrepalanchok district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as three-year-old Ram Bahadur Kunwar, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mukunda Marasini.

The accident took place when a tipper (Ba 4 Kha 3268) heading towards Dhulikhel from Dolalghat of Kavrepalanchok district hit the child at Tamaghat, according to the District Police Office, Dhulikhel.

Locals and relatives of the child have obstructed the traffic along the Araniko highway since 9:00 am today.

Meanwhile, Police have arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation into the incident.
