Chitwan MBBS student missing for one week
KATHMANDU: Whereabouts of a medical student, who went missing a week ago from Chitwan, is still unknown.
Ashish Bastola (24) of Maharajgunj in Kathmandu, a MBBS fourth year student at the Bharatpur-based Chitwan Medical College, went out of contact since September 1, police in Chitwan district said.
According to a family member, Chitwan police last traced his phone's location at Dasdhunga near the Prithvi Highway in the district on that day.
Meanwhile, the Chitwan Medical College and the District Police Office along with his parents have expedited the search.
His kin said there were no unusual activities on his part before he went missing.
Both his parents are working as doctors at a hospital in Kathmandu.
