RATNANAGAR, CHITWAN: The Chitwan District Police Office has made a public appeal to all hoteliers and restaurateurs to close their services from 8:00 pm today until 6:00 am tomorrow, in view of the local level elections taking place on Sunday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Shrestha informed that the appeal was made to avoid hooliganism, curb any untoward activities affecting the public security and hold the local level elections in free and fearless manner.

Stating that the law and order have been tightened in the district, DSP Thapa said that more than 5,000 security personnel have been deployed in the district for the same.
