Chitwan National Park earns Rs 120 m in 11 months

CHITWAN: The Chitwan National Park stated that around Rs 120 million have been collected from its around 82,000 visitors in the past 11 months.

Ranger of the Park Shree Ram Dhakal informed that of the total, around Rs 80 million was collected from selling entry tickets.

Nepali month Chaitra (mid-March-mid-April) witnessed the highest amount of the revenue, Rs 18.6 million, Dhakal added.

According to the Park, 81,813 tourists including 42,171 men and 39,662 women visited the Park.

Even though the Park witnessed decline in the inflow of tourists due to the devastating earthquake in April last year, there have been significant growth in the tourist influx this fiscal year.
