CIAA decree to KMC, LRO

Kathmandu, March 13:

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today directed the Dilli Bazaar-based Kathmandu District Land Revenue Office (KDLRO) and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) to take departmental action against the officials of the two bodies, who illegally transferred the ownership of land belonging to late Hirakaji Sikrakar to Pushpa Ratna Tuladhar and Dharma Ratna Tuladhar.

Issuing a press release, the commission stated that it has directed the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the Kathmandu District Land Revenue Office to rectify the mistake and punish the officials.

The commission said the ownership of the land was to be transferred to the government since there was no legitimate heir to Sikrakara as his daughter Nanishobha was murdered in 1992.
