CIAA settles 863 cases

Dhangadi, July 9

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has settled as many as 863 complaints registered in its far-western regional office in the past 11 months of the current fiscal.

According to far-western regional chief of CIAA Mitralal Regmi, 1,366 complaints have been filed with the commission’s regional office of Dipayal and contact office in Mahendranagar till mid-June of the current fiscal. “Out of them, 503 complaints have yet to be settled,” said Regmi.

Stating that people often registered bogus complaints against each other over personal disputes, Regmi also called on the public to not indulge in such unscrupulous practice. “We urge the people to file genuine complaints,” he said.
