DHANGADI: The adjustment of civil servants has brought challenges in execution of work at the local levels of Kailali district.

Implementation of plans has become difficult with various divisions of government offices being short of staff in the final quarter of the current fiscal year.

The accounts section of some of the local levels have become empty as the civil servants there have been relocated. The local governments informed that delay in the arrival of employees following the civil service adjustment is hampering work in the midst of project implementation.

Dhan Bahadur Roka Magar, Chair of Chure Rural Municipality expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the delay in arrival of government staffers. Roka Magar requests the concerned authorities to send the re-allocated employees of the account section as soon as possible.

Similarly, Laju Ram Chaudhary, Chair of Kailari Rural Municipality said that the lack of officers at the account section is creating problem in disbursement of the allocated budget.

Though Tikapur Municipality has received all of its reallocated civil servants, project implementation has still been delayed. Tapendra Rawal, Mayor of Tikapur Municipality said, “Since the civil servants are new to their responsibilities, project implementation will take more time.”
