DADELDHURA: A clash erupted between the members of Civil Society, Dadeldhura and the security forces during a rally conducted in support of Dr Govinda KC in Baghkhor, Dadeldhura district headquarters. The situation remained tense due to the clash.

Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF) interrupted the rally taken out on Friday by Civil Society Dadeldhura, along with Federation of Nepali Journalists, Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FNCCI), Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN), and local businessmen in Baghkhor.

Nepali Congress Dadeldhura District President Karna Bahadur Malla said that the ill-treatment towards the supporters of Dr KC would not be tolerated and that they would retaliate such actions.

In a press conference held today, Dr Govinda KC resented the government of inaction on the issue and his demands despite his hunger strikes for the third time during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s government.
