Cloth trader’s killer shot him to win motorbike

Birgunj, June 7:

Bimal Tiwari, 18, of Bahuarwa Bhata in Parsa, said today he shot cloth trader Om Prakash Chachan because he was to get a motorcycle if he killed him.

At a press meet, Tiwari confessed to shooting at the trader on June 4. Tiwari’s accomplice, district commander of Sanyukta Jantatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha Mohur Kumar Sahani also attended the press meet.

The police seized a pistol used for shooting Chachan, five bullets and a motorcycle. Tiwari told journalists that he came into contact with Sahani just a month ago, adding that the latter had promised to buy him a motorcycle if he killed Chachan.

“I shot Sahani to get a motorcycle knowing that my family cannot buy me a bike,” he said. Trader Chachan is undergoing treatment in Kathmandu.
