CM Raut seeks PM Oli’s help

Kathmandu, February 24

Chief Minister of Province 2 Mohammad Lalbabu Raut wrote a letter to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli drawing his attention to the problems the provincial government is facing.

According to the letter, a copy of which Raut had posted on twitter, he has complained to the prime minister that his government had not been getting necessary support from federal bureaucrats. He also stated that employees deployed in Province 2 had not yet reported to their duties yet.

Chief Minister Raut said federal bureaucrats were issuing directives to his province which created hindrance in running day-to-day business of the provincial government. He has also said that the federal bureaucrats were not helping Province 2 in its efforts to arrange security for members of its cabinet.

Chief Minister Raut said mutual cooperation between the federal and provincial government was the need of the hour. He stated that his province lacked required resources.

The chief minister also said that his government was focusing on good governance, development, protection of human rights and promotion of prosperity and urged the PM to help the province find a way out to shortage of civil servants. Raut also pledged the province would abide by the constitution and laws.
