Complete NCP unification within month, says Dahal

Hetauda, January 16

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said unification of the district committees and sister organisations would be completed within a month.

Speaking at the party’s gathering at Bagmati Rural Municipality in Makawanpur, Dahal admitted that technical problems had delayed unification of district committees and sister organisations. He argued that people were excited as the party’s unification was historic. He claimed that a government with two-thirds majority would usher prosperity in the country.

Stating that people had posited a lot of hope on the NCP and its government, Dahal held that his party and the government were committed to meet people’s needs and expectations. Dahal said unification between the two largest communist parties had sent a positive message to the whole world, adding “But opponents are trying to disseminate wrong message among people.”

Dahal pledged to double the allowance for elderly as promised in the last polls. “We shall keep our word to double the allowance for elderly,” he stated.
