KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress treasurer Sita Devi Yadav on Tuesday said that the NC supported the genuine demands of Madhes-based parties and indigenous people.

“There should be two provinces in the Madhes from Jhapa to Kanchanpur, the electoral constituencies should be determined on the basis of population and there should be proportional representation in all local bodies.

The NC will support all genuine demands of the agitating parties,” she said at a programme.

She blamed the government of inciting protesters to prolong its term in power instead of addressing their concerns.
