Constitution amendment bill will be finalised from Parliament: PM Dahal
DANG: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday said the Constitution amendment bill registered at the Parliament would be finalised from the Parliament itself.
Speaking at a press conference organised by the Dang Press Centre in Ghorahi, PM Dahal said, "The proposal will not be revoked. It should be put to a vote to decide whether it will be endorsed or not."
Stating that he could not manage time to meet with political leaders due to his busy schedules, PM Dahal informed that he would hold discussions with opposition parties from Sunday to resume the obstructed parliamentary procedures at the earliest.
If the Constitution was not implemented, he said, all achievements made so far would be at risk.
Oli adamant against bill
Meanwhile, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli speaking in Baglung has stated that the Bill would not be passed from the Parliament since it was against the national interest.
Stating that the amendment is not the need of time, Oli said the party would not let the House to pass the bill and claimed that it was proposed without consultation.
