Constitution amendment bill will fail, claims Oli
BHOJPUR: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the Constitution amendment bill tabled in the Parliament would not be passed.
Oli said so while speaking with journalists at the Biratnagar Airport in Morang district on Monday.
He accused the government of ignoring the order of the Supreme Court, which had observed that the boundaries of provinces could not be reviewed without any approval from the Province Assembly, by tabling the Constitution amendment bill.
He further said that the incumbent government was acting as if it did not understand the Court language.
Mentioning Madhesi leaders' statements about impossibility of elections and their participation in them without passing the Constitution amendment bill, the former PM accused them of speaking illegal and unconstitutional words.
Oli also said that the country would get a way out in coming few days after works would be carried out according to the parliamentary procedures.
