Constitution amendment proposal 'soon', reassures Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the government was preparing to table the Constitution amendment proposal soon to address concerns of various groups and communities.

He also claimed that the government was working out for the Constitution implementation with a high priority.

PM Dahal, who is also the CPN Maoist Centre Chairman, addressing the party's Province Number 1 cadres' meet here, in Biratnagar today said that the people from hills, mountains and plains should be united after meeting the demands of all disgruntled groups.

PM Dahal added that the government was developing a programme for providing pension to poor people, employment to unemployed youth among other people-oriented programmes.

Prime Minister Dahal, meanwhile, stressed good governance for development. In another context, he opined for uniting all in the name of true nationalism. He said that the internal national unity would helpĀ strengthen the bilateral ties.

Arguing that the country should reap benefits out of economic prosperity of the neighbouring nations, PM Dahal shared that he had made anĀ agreement on the Postal Highway with India in his recent trip in a bid to expedite under-construction mega projects in Nepal.

On the occasion, Dahal also shared about that the Chinese President would visit Nepal in the near future and the Nepali President would embark on a state visit to India in coming days.

PM Dahal also urged the party cadres to further strengthen the party, as, according to him, it was a time for the CPN Maoist Centre to lead the country.
