JUMLA: A construction worker at the under construction Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), Teaching Hospital in Jumla fell to his death on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Anil Chaudhary (21) of Bhajani area of Trishakti Muncipality-1 in Kailali district.

Chaudhary slipped from the top floor and plunged 14 metres below at 8: 30 am while working at the construction site. He sustained fatal injuries and died in course of treatment at the Academy at 6:30 pm, according to DSP Prem Prasad Regmi of District Police Office, Jumla.

Chaudhary's family members have been informed of the incident, and they will be compensated Rs 300,000 insurance money, said Project Manager Dilli Prasad Dhakal.

It has been learned that Chaudhary had been working at the site for the last one and a half months.
