The Siddhakali Battalion of the Armed Police Force (APF) at Pakali in Sunsari today summoned police personnel charged with beating up a journalist.

Inspector Yagya Basnet, sub-inspector Shiva Narayan Mahato and assistant sub-inspector Santosh Koirala of the APF’s Bhojpur-based election base camp were summoned for interrogation for their alleged assault on Bhojpur-based journalist Gyanendra Khadka, Siddhakali Battalion chief Suraj Shrestha said. He added that the investigation was initiated at the orders of the APF headquarters.

“If they are found guilty, action will be taken against them as per legal provisions,” Shrestha said.
