Old parties cannot provide outlet to country's problems: Baburam Bhattarai
LUMBINI: Coordinator of Naya Shakti Party Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai has said that the old parties cannot provide outlet to the country's issues.
"The country could plunge into further crisis if new ideas are not conceptualised and forwarded," Bhattarai said, addressing the fourth extended meeting of the party's federal council in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.
The former Prime Minister further added that a political party that could internalize new thoughts and changes was needed for country's development and prosperity.
At the council meeting, Bhattarai went on to claim that the victory of the old political parties in the recently held elections are not enough to end the current issues faced by the nation.
The extended meeting of the party's federal council will continue till February 24 is expected to chart out party's strategy and programmes, according to party's Province 5 coordinator, Dan Bahadur Chaudhary.
