Palpa, November 23:

Lekh Bahadur Marphak, 45, and his wife Khagisara, 44, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in their home in Palpa’s Khaliwan VDC yesterday.

The couple had gone to sleep in a cowshed, 150 metres away from their home after dinner. Family members found Khagisara dead yesterday while Lekh Bahadur died later, police said.

Both of them sustained head injuries. The motive behind the couple’s murder is yet to be ascertained, Area Police Office, Rampur, said, adding, an investigation into the twin murders is underway.

Post-mortem report obtained today showed that the couple succumbed to head injuries.
