BIRATNAGAR: In what is proving to be a daunting task, the District Court Morang, after recording 27-page-long statement of the main accused of the infamous 33 kg gold smuggling and murder case, Chudamani Upreti aka Gorey, for three days since Wednesday, will be recording Gorey’s statement on Sunday too.

A single bench of Judge Narayan Prasad Sharma has been recording Upreti’s statement starting Wednesday when 28 other suspects were sent to judicial custody.

“The court has recorded a 27-page-long statement of Gorey in three days,” Court Officer Kedar Prasad Gautam said, “Upon concluding the task at hand, the court will resume trial hearing on the case.”
