ILAM: CPN Maoist Centre has finalised its candidates to contest the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of four municipalities in Ilam district.

Accordingly, Chhabi Lal Acharya and Prem Kumari Gurung with stand for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively of Ilam municipality while Ram Kumar Rai and Shanta Basnet will contest for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Deumai Municipality, according to the party.

Likewise, the candidates for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Suryodaya Municipality are Raj Rai and Tika Ghimire and that of Mai municipality are Bhakta Lungeli and Ranjana Thapa respectively.

The UML has also finalised the list of candidates for all the 10 local level units in the district while NC will confirm the candidates later today, according to the party source.
