UML candidate elected chief of Gaumul Rural Municipality in Bajura

BAJURA: CPN-UML candidate Hari Bahadur Rokaya has been elected the chairman of Gaumul Rural Municipality in Bajura district on Friday.

Rokaya had secured 2240 votes while his closest contender Dev Bahadur Rokaya of Nepali Congress was limited with 1500 votes.

Similarly, UML's Sita Rokaya won the race of vice chairman in the municipality with 2201 votes. NC's Uma Rokaya lost the race garnering 1500 votes.

Among the total 6 wards in the rural municipality, NC achieved victory in a ward while UML won in the remaining wards.
