UML’s mass assemblies in Bhairahawa, Bhumahi
NAWALPARASI: CPN-UML leaders on Sunday addressed mass assemblies, organised as a part of the party’s ongoing Mechi-Mahakali campaign, in Bhairahawa of Rupandehi and Bhumahi of Nawalparasi.
In Bhairahawa, the party’s chairman KP Sharma Oli criticised the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government saying it was worthless and did not want to hold elections.
Oli accused Prime Minister Dahal of being supportive to division, and asked him to step down if he cannot hold elections.
“The incumbent government is not bothered about people; it is busy appeasing its foreign lords,” Oli asserted.
He said the CPN-UML will always protest the foreign intervention in Nepal.
India and China, being neighbouring countries, should eschew from activities that are against Nepal’s interest, he said.
He claimed that the UDMF has been anxious seeing people’s support to the CPN-UML in the Tarai-Madhesh region.
