UML urges CDC to fix election constituencies
KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML standing committee meeting has drawn the attention of the Constituency Delimitation Commission (CDC) to fix the election constituencies soon.
The meeting today has urged the Commission to maintain impartiality and objective grounds while fixing the constituencies.
The meeting held at the party central office under the chairmanship of the party acting chair Bamdev Gautam has suspected over the timely completion of the three-tier of elections by upcoming January as the government delayed to form the commission.
The government last week formed the commission allocating 45 days to determine the constituencies.
According to a press release issued by party secretary Pradeep Gyawali, the party has decided to make Manohar Poudel and Yam Kumari Rana, the candidates to the post of chief and deputy chief of Parbat district coordination committee and Chhiring Lhyamu Gurung and Namgel Gurung as chief and deputy chief in Mustang district coordination committee respectively.
