CPN-UML’s CA candidate quits party

Nawalparasi: Gyan Bahadur Bote, who was CPN-UML’s candidate in the Constituent Assembly election under the PR system, quit the party on Tuesday. He accused UML of utilising him as a vote bank during the CA polls and not nominating anyone from the Bote community to the CA. Bote was the only candidate from the community in the polls. Issuing a release, he accused UML of ignoring the implementation of the understanding reached between Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities and the government to ensure representation of each and every community to the CA.
