CPN-UML’s Nembang wins parliament seat in Panchthar

PHIDDIM: CPN-UML’s candidate Basanta Kumar Nembang has won the race for the sole parliament seat of Panchthar district defeating Nepali Congress’s Bhisma Raj Ang Dembele with the difference of 10,616 votes.

Nembang received a total of 38,641 votes while his nearest contender NC’s Dembele garnered 28,025 votes.

A total of 77,803 votes were cast in the provincial and federal parliament election in the district.
